After a bit of getting used to with MF on the GH1, I have grown into enjoying the MF quite a bit. I can now MF reasonably well without having to use the zoom in feature. The swivel LCD is fantastic!

Thanks for viewing. :D

I like the images.

Looking at the bokeh of the images, it seems to me you are using a Voigtlander lens. Am I correct?

What lens/es were you using?

And I find the effects on the images quite interesting. So what software package/s are you using to finish the images?

Thanks.

I like your photos. What lens did you use for the closeup of the lady's face?
And the other photos?

@plevyadophy, A2Z, aroundomaha:

All of these were taken with Canon FD 50mm f1.4. It's a little soft wide open but very sharp stopping to f1.8 onwards.

@plevyadophy, aroundomaha, robert gallery:

I used Adobe Lightroom for color development (kinda like film :D) then used Photoshop to touch up on the skin.

These are great - can you recall what apertures (or ranges) you used for the pics? (assuming you stopped down a bit as mentioned above?)

I picked up one of these lenses recently but haven't had a chance to do any real shooting yet.

After 15-years of marriage, and two kids.... my wife could never give me such wonderful photos... she just does not have "it", or either interested in- or, willing to give it for photos.

Yeah, she loves me... but, she could never in her life give me such beautiful photos; I get mostly anguished looks of "enough already", just about makes me want to throw out my entire gear, and just give up on the whole endeavor.

I know how you feel :)

Ask your wife which photos of herself she likes the most. Is there something in common with them? Wait for the right time and place when she has nice clothes, etc... and try to make photos of her the way she likes.

Throw all photos away shich you believe she will not like and present the best ones to her. Delete the ones she doesn't like without comment.

Maybe that helps...

Mr Z, excellent suggestions, thank you.
