I was looking around @ d60 prices when I ran across a link on the D60 page @ Royal Camera to a Canon 70-200 2.8. It says that it is $999 I think this would be the lowest price I've seen for a new 70-200 2.8L. The model # is CN702002.8. There is no info listed on this lens other than price (don't know if it's grey or USA version)

Now if you get to the lense through the 35mm auto focus lens link (instead of through the D60 page) it lists a price of $1249 and the model # is CN70200, not sure what the deal is here but it might pay off to investigate.

I've never dealt with Royal but I'm thinking about using them as a price match retailer for a lens purchase on Amex blue

Where have you seen mention of them eliminating the price match?
AMEX canceled pricematching for the Blue card effective April 30, 2002. You should have received a tiny piece of paper with very small print detailing the policy change with one of your statements.

AMEX still offers pricematching with their GOLD and higher (more precious metals?) cards I believe.

Very possible its the same lens, but they have wrong price posted in error.

I picked up a 50 1.4 at Helix camera for $259.00 because they had that price on the website. When I called, the guy quoted me $359.00. I told him about the web price and he said he would honor it. Next day it was changed.
