Mode settings. On my model aeroplane transmitter I have flight modes on a 3 position switch so I have a choice of 3 difference set-ups, each set-up has roughly 20 settings pre-programmed to suit the kind of flying I want to do.
I'd like to be able to so the same with my D90. Go to My Menu and choose say 10 different set-ups
Portrait - with flash
Portrait - natural light
Action - outdoors
Action - indoors
Landscape
Macro - with flash
Macro - natural light
Etc
So instead of fiddling with 10 different settings on maybe 3 different menus I can choose one set-up.
A flock of seagulls suddenly started flying around outside my window. By the time I had set a few things they were almost gone. I had to set ISO, shutter speed, continuous shooting, 3D focusing, RAW, White balance.
Also I find when setting up for say Portrait with flash I may forget to set a few things.
