Post Holiday spike for peeps like me with a new D90 or is there a replacement coming (I read a few rumor threads from a couple months ago that suggested this was the case..)? I searched several forums and nikons website, but couldn't find anything definitive...

I've noticed that some of the more popular lenses are hard to get a hold of, too. One dealer told me Nikon shuts down for 3 weeks in January and that probably has something to do with it, in his opinion. Anyone care to comment on the veracity of that?

I'm guessing an SB-700 later in 2010 or early 2011. But, I don't think it will be earth shattering. Same power 600as , updated UI and controls of SB-900 and ability to read Nikon's new chipped gels. The SB-600 is a great flash. No need to wait for a follow-up with may not materialize for a long time.

I don't plan on waiting for anything. Just hoped to pick up an SB600 and am having a hard time finding one locally.

I'd really like to see something between the SB400 and SB600. Maybe a compact flash with a small LCD display would be great.
