I'd say today was as close to perfect light as i've seen in the UK - incredible lunchtime shoot in Harrogate, here's a couple of examples i've come across while sifting through the winter wonderland...

Thanks for looking,
Mike.

I didn't think the UK got that much snow. Very nice captures. :)

Thanks guys - our 'globally warmed' winter is the coldest for 30years.....35cm of snow in some areas....we've had about 20cm

It was like an Alpine resort today.

Nice set Mike, the 3rd works best for me, but is this really lunchtime with shadows that long ?

I agree about the light in UK. In the winter it is very rare to see bright days with the blue sky as these.

lovely composition and very nice pics.

Thanks for sharing

Excellent in Stoke-on-Trent, too. Took these in my lunch hour at the Etruria Industrial Museum and the canal and locks in the area.

Great light is right! Great images.

I set the white balance on the D90 to sunny, pp is fairly minimal, i guess i could get them to really sparkle in lightroom if i wasn't so lazy...my enjoyment is taking the pic more than processing it :(
