Those of you who were lucky enough to already get your MK IV, if you were on more list and you get a call saying they have a 1d4 for you, let me know where. I would appreciate it and buy your lunch. :)

The only time a smaller sensor with the same pixel count is superior to a larger sensor (aka higher pixel density) is when you are focal-length limited.

The small local stores seem to be the best option at this point. I'll e-mail you if I hear anything but I'm not interested in selling my lunch. :)

Did you ask how long before they get it?

Last time I bought 1Ds2 from them they told me 2 weeks and that was shorter than anyone else. I got it in 1 week.

I got a call from Kenmore Camera in Seattle and turned it down. At the time they had them listed as in stock on their site.

I then got a call yesterday from Norman Camera in MI and turned it down.

Also got a call from Denver Pro Photo, turned it down and they sold it to a customer on the floor..

Today I stopped in Photomark in Phoenix and bought one they had on the shelf.. Walking into and dealing with smaller stores always works the best for new cameras..
 
Why? Because they are getting 3-5 cameras and selling them to friends? Why rush? In one month every store will have mk IV and I will buy same camera less tax and obligations + great return abilities .... So?
