If this has been covered recently, please help me find the thread!

I need a new printer that prints Professional Quality Photos to at least 11x17, and also can print top quality CD's/DVD's.

Reccomendations?

And this one prints on CD/DVD's?
The prints from the R2880 are stunning. I've only had it a few days now, but so far I'm really impressed.

Yes, it comes with a CD-DVD tray and printing software.

I have an R300 that does a decent job printing DVD/CD. However the ink is very suseptible to moisture (smears with a drop of water on it). Do the current Epsons use a more water resistant ink? Any other printer recommendations that can handle DVD/CD either photo or non-photo (multi-function perhaps) that do?

Can't speak for the dye inks, but the 2880 uses K3 vivid magenta pigment inks

Use Taiyo Uden watermark discs for direct printing. They have a special coating that works with all inks to make them very water resistant.

Because the discs are called "Taiyo Uden Watermark" not Fred or Alice and they are specially coated to give the ink much water resistance. Reread my post, it is clearly stated there. These discs work with all inks and we use them exclusively for our business.
why did you answered about watermark? the question is all about a waterproof or resistantink.
