Hi from a very long time lurker.

I have seen wonderful and talented help offered here and I thought I would seek some help from you.

I usually hate pictures of myself but I like this for my school nurse website which I am updating. I have tried to get rid of the sunlight on my face but nothing I did looked natural. Can you offer any suggestions?

Created this seamless skin texture (

;) from a sample of your skin and worked with it to fill in the bright area. Assuming this is to be a headshot, so didn't go glam with it (but I could have). The cleaning/blending process is where the real work is though (involves cloneing, healing brush and smuding; very interactive unfortunately). :)

;-) Good job here Lyle.

Somehow it reminds me of the first time I saw an early painting of Picasso. I remember thinking, "If he can paint like this, what the hell is he doing sticking handlebars on bicycle seats?" ;-)
Wishing you the best New Year.

roblarosa You win for giving me the laugh of the day. I love your great sense of humor. Thanks.

Thanks for these great retouches. I'll be checking back to what else is offered. I wasn't able to do anything even close to these pictures.

Hi Arlene. This is a nice portrait of you and I have tried to correct the light spot on your right cheek and collar as well as some other adjustments. If you do not care for how far I have gone, please advise and I will take the image down.

Regards...

Allen

I used selective color/white to get some color back into the blown out areas of the skin, set a new layer over-top in color mode and painted in the skin colors from nearby areas, used the clone and healing brush to blend and Grain Surgery to match the skin textures. Added some skin softening and selective sharpening.

Arlene ! As I assumed you were a school nurse per your original post, and as I see you have a good sence of humor, maybe something along a NURSE movie will do? Especially after I tried a normal serious retouch a few posts above.. :)
How are these for a laugh??? :P BE WELL and Happy New Year !!!

All very well done, but I'm surprised no one attempted to remove the sun/shine from this lady's collar and shoulder. Anyone want to give it a shot?
