...or is there a ghostly figure in my shot?

There... just in front of the tree on the left...

Please note that I DETEST photo hoaxes - and that this is NOT one of those... Yes, I took this IR shot...

While I stood behing my tripod starting this long exposure IR shot (4 sec.)... a very nice old man made his way onto the scene and eventually looked over and said... "I'm not in your way, am I?" Though not very spooky afterall, he did tell me that the plaque on the bench was donated in memory of his wife who passed away last year.

I thought it came out pretty cool.

Thank you Joel,

After having seen your gallery, I very-much value your input. I'm truly impressed with your work. Just plain gorgeous.

I'm fumbling along, having a VERY good time all the while - here are some of my IR dabblings this far:

Thanks again, and best regards,

Good shot Keith. Very nice IR. Well composed and I guess his
presence gave you a very nice effect after all.

Keith,

What settings did you use to capture this photo? ISO, Exposure Time, ISO and whatever else you can think of.

I was using the Cybershot S85 in manual mode with a Hoya R72 Infrared filter.

4 sec. exposure (it gave the guy time to walk halfway into the shot...)
f/7.1,
ISO 100

Keith,

Yes he did leave his presence... On any long exposure shot, if you walk through the frame you will not leave a solid image, but if you stand in one place, you will see more. The longer you stand, the more solid the figure. Easy to recreate and lots of fun to play with....
