Enough negatives! Let's post our best K-7 shots for all to see!

Hi Peter

Thanks for posting, even such a long pause...I love all of these shots, but best of all for me is the ghostly shot of the Pelican floating along on the surface of the water, eeriely reflected as he goes! Nice work, all of it!

Warm regards
Leo

AH flowers! Now you're talking! Shooting flowers is my favourite subject, but these surpass mine mate...so sharp and well exposed! You must have used a tripod I'll wager! Well done Joey!

Best regards

Thanks Leo,

Surprisingly with the pelican shot I did very little PP.

These are some very nice captures indeed Philippe and I found them all enjoyable but the first and the last of the series had the best effect on me. If push came to shove, number one would be one of the finest landscapes/seascapes I have seen in quite awhile, not since Lance Blackburn's shots with his 14mm lens(which are still the very best yet in my book!)
Nice work Philippe!

Warmest regards

Hi Leo,

Thanks for your kind words, these were actually hand-held, which I'm sure the in-body SR helped :) I posted them before, but I sharpened them up quite a bit for this thread since I didn't sharpen them at all before. I'm glad you enjoyed them, and thanks for starting this thread that we can all share.

Joey

Gord! Don't you know you can't possibly shoot action pictures of such high quality with a Pentax camera...very slow AF you know!! Not to mention noisy captures of low IQ! ;-) LOL!

Well done mate and enjoy your new and wonderful K-7! I love these shots you have put up for us all to enjoy! Looking forward to more!

All the very best

Thank you so much Mark! Coming from such as you, I blush! I have a wonderful family and they are super to photograph! My wife is beautiful and my handsome young grandson is smart as a whip and a peach of a boy!

Happy New Year to you and your family too Mark! May 2010 be a year full of happiness, good health and a wealth of fine surfing to shoot and try yourself!
Stay out of harm's way mate!

All the very best
Leo and family

These are all excellent shots! Your neighbour is very beautiful and provides you with a very fine model for captures such as we see here...the picture with the horse is superb! The Christmas shot with the children is a wonderful seasonal shot! Very well done!
Thanks for posting and I hope to see your stuff posted often now!

Happy New Year Ilkka!

Thank you, Leo, for your kind words! I think there will be more shots of her coming. I like that horse shot also very much. The sunlight came just in the right angle through the edge of a cloud. It would be hard to make any better lighting.

The Christmas shot is the result of my attempts to gather some strobist/studio stuff and the knowledge how to use them.

Oooh you're way too kind, I'm blushing!

The funny thing is that I shot the first one with the WR kit lens :) I have better lenses but I had bought it with the K-7 a few days before, so I had to put it to test.
