I posted a picture through picasa "lady with flower" in CP and then noticed it looked quite a bit darker then when I edited the picture. Then i took a screenshot of the image shown in Safari and shown in "quick preview" from Finder in OS X 10.5.8 side by side which is here below, anybody have an idea why this is happening as it makes things VERY difficult to count on.

either they might store the original, but replace it with something when
displaying, or more probably their displaying way is just screwed/weird,
(and personally I don't like GUI there at all, but then I'm rather partial
to well designed GUIs)

Congrats with the new toy. Try and shoot at f/4.5 and up it does shine from f/4.5-8. The first picture is a very good one if you ask me, the 2nd could have used more DOF but you will get a hang of the lens.

• go to DOF Master page and play with WDs (working distances) and various apertures, to see how much you'd get in front and at the back of your target at each focusing distance;
• with practice it will (quite quickly) be your second nature;
• so, patience, and exercise .
