When asked how he felt about missing photographs while he reloaded his camera with film, he replied 'There are no photographs while I'm reloading' -Garry Winogrand

I haven't read this whole string but check out this link:

http://www.pchardwarehelp.com/guides/s-ips-lcd-list.php
That site is apparently not working.

Several years ago when I bought my last monitor, I was referred to a site that listed the panel types for monitors, to check which ones were S-IPS. It wasn't the site above; I believe it was a European site. Does anyone recall what that site was?

I recall the site but i can't recall the site's address. TFTcentral also lists in their reviews what kind of panel is used. There was/is also a forum where panel information was/is being posted...it was posted in another thread somewhere in here...there must still be a link somewhere to that site...

I think I found it: http://www.flatpanelshd.com/panels.php . It was in NewsyL's excellent write-up referenced in his first post above.

Thanks!

I found these as well, thanks to kent in another, older thread:

By the way this monitor is rated as "Very good" in that review as well as few more expensive others...
Yes sir! A strong recommendation there!

Just be aware that for editing you'll probably have to have a few lights on and if you're the type that likes to edit in an almost pitch black room, you'll not be happy with this monitor in the long run.
