--Hi:
I just received my prints from ezprints and I'm not too happy with
the results.
Can anybody tell me where I can get the best results.
Is Ophoto the best place.
Thanks for your help.

I too had a sad experience with them, and stopped sending them my photos.Hi:

I like ezprints.com panorama printing options, and got great
results from sending them a very high-res pano a few months ago -
but otherwise I've been using ofoto.com for my more recent 4x6
print orders.

Eddy...What are your specific complaints? I have been using
ezprints for a long time now. I have had up to 11x14's done there
at first using scanned prints which I could see just didn't cut it.
Then Scanned negs, which was better, and now 707 files. Regardless
of which way I go they always print exactly like I see on my
monitor(maybe a slight bit darker). The key is to make sure your
monitor is calibrated. They do no corrections as far as I know. I
have maybe 100 8x10's and maybe 60-75 11x14's done there. Happy
with them all. Don't expect to send them a digital file wih no
sharpening done as they won't correct for that. They also have
somewhere on their site a color and a b+W calibration photos.
Download them and then there is a place to request a free 8x10
color and 5x7 B+W print be sent to you. Calibrate the monitor to
match the files to the prints. Then what you see is what you get. I
have to say that I went thru that process and using Adobe Gamma
setup got me the same results or very very close to it. I take all
photos using 2560x1920/fine and then process them to my liking.
Then crop without resampling to the size print i want. Lastly I
send them in jpg format as they will convert to jpg before printing
anyway! Here are two photos scaled down somwhat. The first is the
file I sent to ezprints and the second is a scan I did of the 8x10
print. I did no corrections on the scan so it is not as good as the
original print but the print does match the digital file.
(Iposted these a while back but can't access the thread).
