Unfortunately I wasn't able to get in a position to photograph these cars without

the fence blocking my way. Also, given the fact that there were buses in front of

ours, made it difficult to get a good panning shot. This was the best shot I took
of Jeff Gordon's race car. I used the TCON-14B for this one. If it hadn't been
for the fence and the peoples heads, I feel that the shot would have turned out
great. The other shot is of Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Matt Kenseth.
Thanks for looking.

and I'm going to forward them to a friend of mine who's a racing fan and a Jeff Gordon fan in particular.

Thanks Terry. I have been a Jeff Gordon fan since he raced open wheel.
We use to go down to Indiana and see him race. He's one amazing driver.

Good job on the pan with those telephoto lenses.
Do they have auto stabilizers?

Nice shots! I too hate shooting through fences. If it makes you feel any better, a through the fence shot appeared on the cover of a semi-recent CA Speedway CART race program. The posts are a killer, but if you happen to catch the car between the upright posts you can still get a decent shot. BTW, if you weren't using a TCON-14b, try one, the E-10 (or 20) with a TCON-14b is an outstanding panning combination.

Here's some stuff I shot this weekend at Loudon. This is from
the Busch North 125 lapper on Saturday.

After our season is over, I'll be putting up a bunch of the cup stuff
I have (from Loudon, Watkin's Glen and Dover).

These are all E-10 with TCON 1.4B.

I guess I'm the auto stabilizer. Of the ten or so shots of the 24 car, this was
the only good one that turned out. Thanks for looking.

Hi Mike,

I used the TCON-14b on the 24 car shot, but not on the 8 and 17 car.
I had a lot of heads in my way as well. If you look just under the rear
wheel of the 24 car, you can see where I messed up on the cloning.
I think I would have had better results, had they not been there. Maybe
I can convince everyone to stay home for next years race. LOL
Thanks for looking.

Nice shots Tom. To bad the weather was a disaster for the Winston Cup
guys. I'm looking forward to your end of season post. Thanks.

Thanks Sharon. There was a small group of people there for the race.
About 200,000+ The track is about 25 miles from where I live, so
that's not to bad. If you have never been to one of these races, you
owe it to yourself to go at least once. I've been going since 1978.
Back then you could drive into the infield the day of the race. Actually,
an hour before the race started. Today, you have to be there, the
Thursday before Sunday's race. It's grown that much. Thanks again
for looking.
