Will Canon continue the S30 for another year?
It seems as if the S40 is being replaced by the S45, the G2 by the
G3, but anybody know what the fate of the S30 is?
Yeah I have the same question. Will this new S230 though, replace the S30 though? Anyone know which one is currently better? I was planning on getting the S30 and now with all of these new cameras, I can't decided between the S30, S45, or S230 now.Will Canon continue the S30 for another year?

The S40 came out in October 2001, and the replacement will hit the
market around October 2002.
Judging from previous releases of Canon camera successors (S100/110
A20/40...), my guess is the S30 successor should be out around
December 2002, about 12 months after the release of the S30; if
there is to be a successor at all.
But it's just a guess,
