Animals (PICS)

These are tack sharp Anayv. Isn't the FZ8 lens great? How do you find it compared to all of the other FZ's you have owned?

A very nice series of zoo shots. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks..glad you liked them, Olaf.

they (zoo keepers) must think I'm weird, coming to the zoo,so often

I plan to go ,through winter,as well

Crazy ...i might be :)

Nice set. my favorite is the yawning bobcat

That may be a lynx, the paws are ginormous and the ear tuft is larger.
Actually,it is a Bobcat

I had to call the zoo,and ask,since I wasn't sure,myself. Was going by memory,of the sign,next to the exhibit. Memory was right,for a change,lol.

They told me they are very Big,for a Bobcat, and they feed it,very well.

So...i guess normal Bobcats ,would not look quite like this one.

Yes,it really is,very sharp, indeed! (much to my surprise)

Well, still a bit soon ,to tell....but love the size...and i'm surprised at the image quality,detail-wise

Seems it's sharper ,than my FZ20 !!

FZ8 does have more noise, and it shows up in shadow areas ,even at iso 100...but the detail retention, was more, than I expected.

also, like the option ,to shoot RAW (I'm a new convert :)

Thanks,Carol.

BTW,I really like your signature shot !!

I'm so glad that you're happy with the FZ8 Anayv. I love the lens on that camera. Your photos were tack sharp.......just what I would expect from the FZ8. I can't wait for you to take it out on a nice bright blue sky day. That is when this camera REALLY shines.

Glad you like my new sig. photo. I took it last weekend after our first snowfall here and thought it was appropriate as a signature photo this time of year.

Thanks,Dave.

I actually ,shot those in jpeg...and have a sequence of 3 or 4 consecutive shots,of the bobcat yawning....i need to find a cheap (or free) software program,to make a GIF,out of them

I also have a few series of a Tiger opening it's mouth

Anyone know a good ,easy ,cheap GIF program?

Thanks
