The Colors & The Light

Thanks Craig. Been wanting to get the building's windows to appear brighter in the past and w/the merged files, that was the tricks.

Thanks Kartika and Neville.

And thanks for the comments & for the suggestion Mark S ;)

Hans, there are plenty of 'outdated' D200 & D300 cameras delivering quality images in these forums. I happen to have a nice combo w/the 17-55 that does a very good job ;) Thank you.

Hey Dez
I like the first and the third shots the best.

Great sky and silhouette on that one and I always enjoy your great brooklyn bridge and new york skyline images. you are getting good at your HDR presentations

BTW will be in Central Park( weather permitting ) on Dec 20th around 9:30am with my camera club. Wollman Rink and Cental park zoo.

Dez, I was just trying to point out (in a sarcastic way) to people who complain all the time how "bad" the D300 and the 17-55 are that this combo is very good indeed, proof is in your pics.

And by the way, i enjoy this combo very much myself.

Yes, I know and understood your sarcasm ;) I just wanted to give credit to the D200 users here as well.

Very good colour in all Dez.

I liked them all but felt the water/sky divide in the second shot is too near the centre of the frame. It would look better with more water & less sky or visa versa.

Your shots continue to make me want to visit again. Does not look likely next year but perhaps I could persuade Fletch to come with me when the Freedom tower is finished!

Agreed on the placement of the horizon. Unfortunately, I didn't get enough sky so I did do a crop for composition and tried moving the horizon off center.

As for you and Fletch coming by, persuade him w/an ear-pull. I'd definitely would meet you guys for a photo trek :)

Thanks.

I believe something happened in number 2? Composition seems off to me. Just IMO.

Easy. The exposure speed was 1/250 at f/6.3. That's fast enough to take 3-bracketed shots rapidly using C"L" setting (continuous low at 3fps).

Thanks.
