--I finally decided to upgrade toa a faster computer and got a G5 quad. It comes with 10.5.8 OS Fuji just told me that they are not going to offer any software to work with an os above 10.4.? and to keep using the G4!!
Anyone run into this? Is there a workaround?

I have also just got CS3 will that process raf files as well as the HSV3? Or have I just spent a bunch of money for naught?
Thanks for any info.

Commonly computer software makes some allowance for running heritage software so the HU-V will probably work. I am more familiar with Windows systems than Apple which is usually more restrictive than Windows. This is part of the reason apple systems are claimed to be "safer" than windows though it may make them less flexible.

So load up the Fujifilm software and give it a try.

I just got a new iMac and am running 10.6.2. I had Apple do a data transfer from my old G4 and HU works just fine. It's even a little faster on the iMac. Just load it up.

Hi

I am running HSV on a G5 twin processor in 10.5.8 with no problems
Perhaps Fuji are just being cautious

you will lose your markers, they don't work past 10.5.4, and you'll love the substantial speed increase.

What graphic card is in your G5 Quad?

I believe what is being talked about in not making HSV3 for any mac OS above 10.5x is taking advantage of 64bit rather than 32bit (current) processing capability. HU will be (I believe) backward compatible though.
