photo_owl,watched it going through the day R, and was ready to give you a reference if anyone baulked at your arrival with that gear!
hope it goes well for you
I know the post got deleted ... and I did not want to make a big deal of it.Happy to help! I'm glad it went well for you.
LOL,...Good for you and for the lucky buyers !
I guess i'm late then i was just about to order at B&H when i saw your post.![]()
AbeakerZ,I saw your posts over at 4/3rds this morning. Due to the time zone I missed out on that. I would have snapped up that E30 in a second.
Well it helped that you realistically priced the gear for a quick sale. I've seen some for sale bids up there that are way too high for used gear in comparison to what I can buy new at B&H or Adorama, and the gear just sits.Thank you, ALL for the Help finding a great place for me to sell my gear.
Not only did you help me find a great place to post my gear ... but, by the time I finished posting them all ... it was ALL sold (well, except for the two cheapest items)
- YOU guys and gals are the BEST!!! always have been.
AND, I got a lot of emails too ... some funny, ALL supportive.![]()
Given that the buy/sell forum is a separate forum over there, if the grumps don't want to see ads, they don't go there. Given dpreview doesn't have a dedicated forum, it would overwhelm the normal group postings (and after the sale to Amazon, I can imagine that there won't be any temptation to open a gear selling forum that might compete with Amazon marketplace). Now, some might find this hard to believe ... but, there was not a single Olympus user that said , "Just leave" please![]()
Thank you, ALL for the Help finding a great place for me to sell my gear.
And I needed the money ( did over spend on my FF gear )
- YOU guys and gals are the BEST!!! always have been.
... so, speed was helpful lol
You might want to close the threads you opened, or indicate in them that the gear is sold. A lot of people over there are still salivating at the prospect of cut-price gear...THANK YOU ALL ! ... it was a help to me, really ... and I am glad some found some good deals too. win-win.
--Yeah, a tiny and mostly harmless curse upon Greg & Allen for being so fast to buy the good stuff!![]()
--Seems the Olympus gears has been successful for you, taken you to a further investment level. Hope your new gear will bring you at least as successful on your steps further in your business.
Merry Christmas too!

Thank you... but good luck over in the Nikon world.
I think you will "Get" it with "any" new e5 ... the e30 is pretty much there.I'll still be here hoping for a new e-* that will work great in low light with the 14-35.
You are right! I am still getting emails! way over 100 now.You might want to close the threads you opened, or indicate in them that the gear is sold. A lot of people over there are still salivating at the prospect of cut-price gear...
Well, you may or may not know ... I am "not" nearly as good at those things as others here.I was sort of hoping you'd have a chance to do a 14-35/2 24-70/2.8 shootout before you converter fully, but oh well... Have fun!
Not to get tooo off topic ... so, let's keep the subject line here ... descretHawaii-Geek,
Just curious. Why Nikon and not Canon?
