****Challenge 61: Patterns Around Us****

...if people wanted one. Shall we say till 14rh December?
Sounds good to me. I will try and get out to take some pics. Honest guv!

I did actually try with the Sigma 150mm macro on the SLRn, but the light was so poor, that the dratted thing wouldn't focus :-(

Cheers

I felt a bit bad after reading this note when initially posted. Seems to imply the last challenge may have put people off [my theme-- hope and change]. Seems to imply this would be a more inviting theme...

Hmmm.

Looking at past challenge entries, the previous challenge had more entries than most of the challenges of 2009. Who exactly did you believe was put off?
I'm glad you like the challenge. I wanted to find something that everybody could do and that wouldn't put people off, but that could produce some great images.
Looking forward to your entries!

Not at all Rick. i was in no way implying that your theme put people off, and I'm sorry if it came across that way. i was talking in very general terms, not being specific to the last theme. I always try to find themes that will be accessible. As you rightly point out, we have few takers this time. Whether that's because people are busy or because the theme isn't appealing I have no idea - though a couple of people have posted to say they are busy. I'm guilty myself of only putting one in the competition gallery.

Busier than ever before this time of year [which is usually slower]. Had some beautiful light coming through the window this morning, but just couldn't catch a muse to make it work for me.

Was happy to see the extension granted.

Thanks for the clarification of the post.

Just uploaded a phot shot with my DCS SLR/c showing a hotel bathroom.
Once I find out how to indicate my name and title of picture, I will do so.
