The Sigma people are either very stupid, or they fully realize they
really need to have at least one functioning Foveon camera
in their hands, that they can bring to Photokina and show to
people.

Seriously, working preproduction cameras exist and have been handled
by non-Sigma people. I think you'll see retail shipments this month.

Of course all companies we know will be coming out with new
products for us to buy and the next full size sensor will win the
game for 2002 and part of 2003. dont be shocked when you hear about
a new canon with 12 meg to be released this fall its on the way
sooner than later
