Right, that's it Firefox

Copy Paste stopped working again
Same here. Works not on this machine with old Firefox. Also, no cursor keys work!
and it won't remember my sign-in details.
Oh, I had that, too. Was with an older version, though.

Bit of a pity - do we know why that is? dpreview's custom javascript stuff? Or just bad Firefox?

Hi guys!

Download the latest, never had problems with any operating system and with any version of Firefox.

I'm writing this with 3.6 beta2 on Windows XP.

I think it's probably Firefox. I upgraded to v3.5.5. and it worked momentarily, now it's FUBAR again. :x

Just tried DPR on Opera and Safari and everything's fine.

I've used FF for a couple of years as my main browser and it's only recently since v3.4.x and 3.5.x that I've had issues on the same machine. If it's any consolation to DPR, the UK governments Revenue website doesn't like FF either! There are a couple of other sites that I use that aren't happy with FF, so I've now reverted back to using IE8 with all it's warts! :(

It's a PITA to keep double checking your website with the latest versions of all the main browsers.

Beta 3.6.1 also works okay, but some of my plug-ins aren't operational.

A quick search on Internet gives some hints (just quoting here)
  • remove or update yahoo toolbar (most often mentioned)
  • copy/paste with the menu could be still working (workaround)
  • adware named pushow*.dll is causing it (?)
  • bug in FF....

I have three computers I use daily -- all on FF. Two PCs, one Mac. All work fine with DPR and have worked fine continuously. Is it possible you have a plugin or some other addition that causes copy/paste to not work?

I would say it's almost certainly some plugin, addon or background software causing it. All I can say is that I've never had a problem with DPR on any version 2 or 3. , but if I did I would investigate it until I found the reason. All other browsers suck in comparison to FF for usability, and this bug is sadly killing that superiority for a lot of people.

I haven't tried Chrome except for testing but this whole booo to Firefox wave makes me nervous as someone who can recite the projected death date and time of IE6 from memory.

Not for me. I just checked and this installation is as clean as it gets. (3.5.5)
I use the same version on my own computer without any problems.
I do have administrator rights on my machine, but not on this one.
But that shouldn't make a difference for a webform?

Investigation is limited on a machine where I cannot mess up the registry ;)

Edit: I just hit "edit" and it works perfectly now. Is this weird or what?

Everthing works as intended in edit mode.
Someone else have the same effect?

Something is amiss with Firefox! I had troubles with earlier versions using Copy and Paste but those work now!

I have the latest update of Firefox and it works reasonably fine for me except it keeps on asking me to Login even after I have checked off the Remember me box! MS IE8 works fine in all regards...copy, paste and it remembers the login password automatically!
Cheers

By accident rather than design I'm still on Firefox 3.0.14 and it all seems to work.

Copy Paste stopped working again and it won't remember my sign-in details. It's a constant battle.
I'vee been using Firefox for years, have installed all udpates, and have never had the slightest problem with copy&paste. Not on 3.5.4, not now on 3.5.5. What problems are you seeing? Could it perhaps be hardware related?
it won't remember my sign-in details.
That's probably just a cookie setting or cache that needs clearing.
