Is Newegg.com a Canon authorized dealer? If not, you might not get the loyalty rebate.

Also, I could not find the t1i bundle, could you post a link?

Amazon has the exact same T1i package for under $785 and has the 30 day return policy with NO restocking fee, free shipping both ways, + no tax.

Plus you can still register your new camera from Canon and get the $50.00 owner loyalty rebate.

Newegg is definitely a reputable online retailer but i personally prefer Amazon when a problem occurs with a product you purchase. For any reason if the item doesnt meet your expectations you can simply call Amazon and they e-mail you a return shipping label or exchange the item free of charge & credit your account with no questions asked.

Amazon is great but I live in NY state and I have to pay tax (almost 9%) which makes it lot less desirable.

My first purchase was from Amazon, and the estimate shipping is between Nov 24-Dec 2nd.
I purchased on Nov 10 from newegg.com in the morning and I got it today Nov 11.
Yes , newegg is a canon dealer and I am with them for almost 10 years.

Using cashback from Bing account I already earned from purchases on their site over $160.00 USD.

I do not see the deal with 55-250mm IS lens on newegg right now, perhaps they sold out?
Regards,
Jacek

I just ordered Rebel XS kit (18-55 IS) plus 75-300mm.

Total cost of the body and two lenses $515 with shipping.

I should get the $50 rebate and I will sell both of the lenses. I should end up with a very cheap XS.

I am going to use it as a backup to my 5d mark II.

Hey,

I'm searching for a Canon T1i/500D for a friend but cannot find any of these deals on Amazon or newegg.

The least price for a two-lens kit for the T1i I see is 900$!

Please help.

Cheers!

I have a 5D mark II and I wanted a little backup. Since I will almost always use the 5D, I decided that the XS will do just fine.

I got the Canon Rebel XS + 18-55IS + 75-300 (non-usm) for $515 shipped. Hopefully I will get the $50 rebate and sell the lenses and I should end up with the rebel for well under $300 which is an awesome price.

The discount on Amazon doesn't show up until checkout. Then it shows a $200 credit. Add the kit and the 55-250 lens to your cart, then click on "Proceed to Checkout" and there you will see the discount.

When you get down to the nuts and bolts of photography, the results depend on the 'nut' behind the camera!

See the 'Plan' in my 'Profile' for my current equipment.

Where did you get that deal, I just got a XS KIT for $490...

I would love to get that 75-300 for an extra $25 so if you don't mind sharing...

Well, I am not sure where you guys are getting those prices because I am not able to confirm and verify...

I signed up to my amazon account, added the XS kit + 75-300mm, went throught the whole check out process until I could go no more but to actually by the items, the price remain the same, $489+$144.

The same happened with Newegg, there was no credit registered for adding the extra lens to the order.

I wish I knew amazon phone number so that I could contact them about it...

I just got and XS from them that I have not had the chance to open so I could still flex some power to get the deal, but I just can't find what you guys are talking about...

If anyone knows Amazon phone number please advised.

I would be really curious if you could duplicate that deal or similar deal any where, do a screen print and post it here...

I just called Amazon, spoke to one of their rep, just because Canon is running a promotion doesn't mean the Amazon is also running, so if it is not advertized on the Amazon website, the is not discount...

For all those that like to be creating a wave of fire around here claiming all the good deals that you find, why don't you do us a favor and proof it, show something...

When you go to Amazon be SURE when you ADD TO CART you are adding the T1i or XSi directly from Amazon and not one of the 3rd party vendors that sell thru Amazons website. Same when you add the Canon EFS 55-250mm telezoom, make SURE you ADD TO CART directly from Amazon.

Then when you proceed to check-out and log into your account the $200.00 instant rebate will be deducted. Also be sure and check the free standard shipping tab.

I just checked again and the T1i package with the kit lens + the 55-250mm is still right around $785.00 total.

Amazon is still and has along been running and honoring the Canon instant rebate since day one and will until Nov. 21st when it expires via Canon.

Also, price is constantly changing on Amazon, albeit not by much unless you hit it just right. I ordered the t1i with 2 lens kit (18-55mm IS and 55-250mm IS and, filter), 2 days ago for $738. As best I could tell, that package was only offered at that price, for several hours, before it once again increased to the $780ish range. Bottom line, if price is important, you need to costantly check back with the Amazon website for updates to their price.

How do I know if I am ordering directly form Amazon? I just followed your directions, at least I thought I did. And the price was 900+$. Can you help please? I really want to buy the T1i at this price point.
