Stupid newbie question here. Whats the best way to share photos on the forums to ask for comments and help. What online service is best for storing & sharing. Getting fairly proficient with my first digital SLR but still a little challenged when it comes to the computer stuff, Any help would be appreciated

The best things in life are not things

or setup your own gallery or site on a free or inexpensive photo webhosting site. I prefer Smugmug: http://www.smugmug.com/ . but there are several good ones. The you can either print then and send them to your friends and family or let them do it themselves. It's easy.

I'd recommend using one of the inexpensive pay-plans such as Smugmug, Flickr, etc. Flickr's free plan has a couple of drawbacks. One is that it limits the size of photos that others can see, and it only allows people to see the most recent 200 images you've uploaded. So if you use their free plan to ask for comments or help, your message (and its replies) may not be very helpful to anyone that reads your forum message a couple of months later if by that time you've uploaded 200 or more additional photos. If this does happen, the old uploaded photos really haven't been deleted from Flickr, they've just become unavailable, and if you then sign up for one of Flickr's pay plans, all of your messages that had "photo unavailable" error messages will magically start working again. I find Smugmug to have better features and ease of use than Flikr, although some people value the Flickr "community".
