I am curios if anyone knows if some noise reduction algorithm is applyed at ISO 100,ISO 200 in s6000/s6500 when you shoot jpeg.

The answerer is YES. In my S6000, if I compare the ISO 400 JPG from camera and the RAF converted with Raw Therapee, this images are so different. There are more noise on RAF even at ISO 100. But I think that S6000 has less noise then the new Canon G11 at the same ISO if compare RAW to RAW.

Yes there is some NR.

At ISO100 and 200 it is quite light. You start some loss of low-contrast-detail at 400 and quite a lot at ISO800.

Also the default sharpening is way too high, it is better to switch to soft and sharpen in PP. This is especially true in higher sensitivities, as the strong sharpening introduces some nasty artifacts.
