do you use lens hood in studio???

I use a lens hood 100% of the time as I don't put any "protective" filters on my lenses.

Just me.

Hello,

I use it all the time it's like it's part of the lens !

thank you guys i will buy a hood for my 50 mm...
i use a camera which uses aps-c sensor...
do you think it is better to have a hood for 70mm??? i am sure about it
many thanks
halil

I bought a rubber hood that screws into the filter mount for my 50mm prime. These aftermarket hoods often come in a variety of angles (wide, medium or long) and you want the longest you can get without causing vignetting so you might want to try some out in the store.

When I take my cameras out of the bag:

Step 1: Remove lens cap (without touching the front element and smearing it with a finger)
Step 2: Put on lens hood

I put my Lindahl bellows hood on the front of my 50mm 1.4 and leave it there. It works well and the camera looks unlike anything my customers have seen or use themselves. I don't get any more comparison issues from wealthy hobbyists. It used to be in front of my RB67/127mm so the tradition lives on.

I don't even use lens hoods anywhere at anytime, interfers with my filters.....I never saw the need for them myself. I don't get lens flares, etc..
