I found this website that makes camera cases

http://www.cutecamcase.com/canon_case_s90.html

They claim to have custom cases for the s90. I don't know if they're actually made for the s90, or if they're just generic cases that come close in size. None of the pictures actually has the s90 in it. The design of the website and the phrasing of the product descriptions makes me think that it's not an American website, although it says that they're based in California. You have two basic designs (horizontal and vertical) with various case color, hardness and attachment options. I chose the vertical case since it has a magnetic clasp. Also, I figure that it'll be easier to pull the camera out this way using the hand loop. None of the cases have a bump for the lens, which is a concern. The site says that the cases are lined with a soft material, but it doesn't look that way to me, but the pictures don't say much. Anyway, I'll write again when I get it. If anyone has purchased anything from this site, let me know what I'm in for.

It doesn't seem if anyone cares, but the case came today. It's a nice case - very rigid. The s90 doesn't fit in it - the lens sticks too far out. Oh well.

of course we care... pics please?

I'll try to take some pics tomorrow (I actually gave it away since it didn't fit). But it seems the company assumed that this case would fit due to the dimensions of the camera. They didn't take the protruding ring into account. Maybe if I bought the soft case, I could wiggle it in (but I doubt that I would), but the hard leather has no give whatsoever - which would have been great, otherwise.

no worries then... sorry things didn't work out this time.

I'm sorry to read that it didn't work for you. As an alternative, the case I've been posting about (and others) is basically the same shape, is neoprene and has a magnetic clasp. It is the Olympus Sport Case. Do a search for that in this forum and you will see what has been written.

About $13 and I picked mine up at Best Buy, so no shipping costs. I love mine and I'm picky.

I got the case back and took some pictures. While trying to get some pictures that showed how the camera couldn't fit in the case, the camera actually went in! I was too chicken to apply any force, and now I'm going to be an indian giver (I hope that's not too un-PC) and take it back. It's a great case; it fits like a glove - a skintight glove.

I don't have time to figure out how to attach or link the photos, I just put 'em up on Flikr.

Which of their cases did you order?

Is it a tight fit (considering the fact you thought it didn't fit at first)?

I bough the #10073. It is very form fitting. When I first put it in, I worried about the control rings on the front and back of the camera catching on the case. But now I'm man-handling the case a little; squeezing it in the middle so that it flexes in the so that the rings don't catch. I think it just needs a little breaking in and it'll be perfect.

It does have a belt loop. It also comes with a tiny little pouch that attaches to a neck loop that you put an extra battery in, but it can also hold a memory card.

Can you return it and either get one that fits or a refund?

I have read that there is a guy in Italy that will make a custom case for your S90.
Maybe some other forum member can give you the link.

Thanks for posting and giving your feedback.

Regards
