Could someone tell me where, in the plug in folder I place this plug in? I have a photo 2200 and in the manual they instruct me to go to Edit, sellect color settings then full color management-optimized for print. That option is not ye showing up and I'm assuming its because I don't have the PIM plug in in the right place within the many options in the plug in folder. Or should I bag the whole thing and get Monaco EZ color?

when I used the 2200 software for my Epson paper profiles, I selected PIM Plug-in for Adobe Photoshop. All the paper profiles will end up in (assuming your using a PC) Windows--> System32--> Spool--> Drivers--> Color, which is where you will find all your profiles. You can also right click on each profile and it gives you the option to either Install Profile or Uninstall profile. If your using Photoshop you will now find these profiles in the Print Preview Window in Print Space--> Profile drop down menu.

I forgot to add it may to be a good idea to reboot your computer before you go to the Print Preview drop down men, chances are you don't have to but just in case.

Thanks Andrew, but I'm using a Mac.

Basically its the same type of setup I mentioned above just that the paper profiles are downloaded to the Mac color folder location.

Andrew: I may be especially dense here but here's what I did. From the CD I selected PIM plug in (for the Mac) It then presented me with the choice of any folder to install it in. I chose the photoshop plug in folder, so it went there. When I tried to use it I was supposed to find from the edit pull down menu an item....".full color management-optimized for print". That was not in that pull down menu. The only conclusion I could draw was that I has placed the plug in into the wrong folder....hence my question. I'll be calling tech support tomorrow, I really wanted to get this sorted today.... thanks again for the help.

Fremiet, don't consider yourself dense it took me a long time to figure this stuff out. I don't know too much about Macs but I do know when I downloaded my PIM Plug-Ins for Adobe Photoshop, they came no where near the Adobe Plug-In folder. They were downloaded straight into my Colors folder which is the folder with all your monitor, scanner, paper profiles, etc all having the .icm extension. I'm sure but not positive that Macs have a similar color folder but with a different name. I think your getting confused with the "PIM plug-in for Adobe Photoshop" that was on the 2200 software , if I'm not mistaken its not the same as Adobe Photoshop 7.01 --> Plug-In folder on PC anyway.

The PIM plug in goes in this folder in windows XP: Windows/System32/Spool/Drivers/Color. go to http://www . pictorico.com and click on their icc profiles list for their paper. Based upon the operation system, it will tell you where the profiles go. it is not in photoshop, but within Windows.
