High-key portrait for C&C

High key works very well with that colouring. Good job.

I like it a lot well done.I like the composition, but I'd like to see a portrait oriented crop.

So dont you see that the eyes, necklace and straps have been selected and coloured?

Selective colouring in my opinion isnt a black and white photo with a touch of colour, but a photo that has an area selected and coloured to make it stand out.

I'd say it was selective desaturation and some selective saturation increase. The colors are genuine, but a bit boosted.

Thanks everyone!

You did a nice job here dragging the viewers eye to the subjects eye -rule of thirds = selective color etc.

I might encourage you to allow the viewer to take a little journey and not end up so tightly lassoed to that eye.

Bring some color back to the lips and fingernails. It looks like they were originally about the same shade. Maybe brighten the whites of her eyes +8 or so - a notch.

I would soften her hair on the right side of face with just a little glam and gauss blur treatment.

I'm nitpicking to kick it up a notch - the shot's great to begin with

I like that look. I need to add it to my to-learn list.
Thanks for sharing it.

That's a really good one. But would it be better if the shoulder with the jewel on it was slightly darker so you could see its outline? Not nearly as dark as the other shoulder, just enough to see the line from her neck to the shoulder strap, and see the necklace running over the top of it.
