help with Nikon F4 and AFS lenses

I have benn thinking about buying a 24-85 AFS of a 80-200 AFS,
but i'm not sure that my old F4s would auto focus with them,
any one has the same combination?

I occasionally use a 80-200 AF-S on my F4s, no problem.

All Nikkor AF lenses will autofocus just fine with the F4, as far as I know.

in kenrockwell.com there is a review of the new 24-85 AFS, he clames that
the lens doesn't work on the N90s, so I was wondering

becouse both the F90 and the F4 are from the same generation, and probebly share the same technology...

The problem isn't the AFS, it's the G mount. "G" lenses don't have the aperture ring, so they only give full compatibility with cameras that support changing aperture via the thumb wheels. The 24-85 AFS-G should work fine on your F4 in Shutter-priority and Program modes, but won't work well in manual or aperture priority modes as you won't be able to change aperture manually.

Other AFS lenses that are in a standard mount, "D" series, should work fine.

According to the Nikon lens brochure AFS lenses will AF with the F5, F4, F100, F90X, F90, F80, F70, and F65 35mm camera bodies. Also according to other websites the F4 works great with AFS lenses. I'm also curious about the 24 - 85 AFS so I'll be trying one out on my F4 this week some time.
