Surely somebody has sneaked a pic of the new gear someplace. Fess up and show the goods...

Me too; it's taking all of my willpower to not go out and buy a Canon G11 before 31st.

I'm sure that if I do Olympus will announce the µ4/3 with flip screen & IBIS that I have been waiting for; I'll have to steel myself for 9 more days ;)

. . . My GF1/20mm kit and EVF is estimated to have about a ten day shipping date from yesterday.

..all I can say is that if Olympus announce something EP-1 \ GF1 sized but with an internal EVF I'm going to weep.

All my hopes are in the GH1 general direction... And please, no Monty Python quotes with the words "general direction" involved. Thanks.

Mine too; a GH1 with IBIS would suit me down to the ground :)

I couldn't wait ... these rumors drove me nuts.
Just ordered Panny GF1 with 20mm. 7 days to go :D

. . . Some of you guys are in real denial here. Pany is commited to ILIS. If you want IBIS in mFT, you're choice is Olympus. Of course this rumored Fuji mFT camera that may be on the way is supposed to have IBIS from what I've been reading and that could change everything for you IBIS devotees. Fuji's sensor technology is very good with state of the art high ISO performance among small high density sensors and good DR as well. These are exciting times right now in mFt and the future looks like it's coming fast.

I hope you get what you want, I don't want to have to sell something I just bought :)

Looking at it logically, It will most likely be a new version of the E-P1 with a connection for EFV and perhaps a flash. The main criticism of the E-P1 has always been slow AF and the lack of a viewfinder. The hot area now is micro four thirds, not for an E-30, so i think they would try to address the E-P1 shortcomings. They don’t want to lose any more ground to Panasonic’s GF1. But my guess is that even if the announce a “E-P2” it probably would not be available in quantities til mid-December.
cheers,
Rich

I don't understand why you think I am in denial.

I know Panasonic use ILIS which is precisely why I didn't buy one and am hoping that Olympus will announce an Oly 'GH1' with IBIS on 31/10

Why are you expecting something in 10 days??
