G11 vs. G10 vs. Ricoh GRD III

Why are everybody so obsessed with high iso? Where is G10 vs G11 ISO80? Is there dark ages coming or what?

have you seen the main selling point of the new nikon D3s : iso 100 000 !
lol, you are right, dark ages coming!

more seriously I think most expect the base iso to be of sufficient quality as most decent compacts of late have not been to disappointing , and the discussions go to areas where previous models seemed not quite satisfying, even for some basic situation like parties or museum/church visits...

That super high ISO may be super ugly, because I did not find any samples of it

I tend to use my P&S where I'm not allowed to take a DSLR (eg concerts), so low light performance is important to me. The G10 wasn't a bad concert camera, but I often had to compromise by doing B&W conversions or heavy NR using Nik Define. I also found that the G10 had very skinny DR. I'm hoping the G11 will be a significant improvement on both counts.
