Congrats, Morris! Frankly speaking, the picture looks a bit confusing to me: no coloar contrast, here and there randomly cropped. Others must have praised it a lot, so I don't need to point out its merrits, right?:-) Regards, Yang
 
Righto! It was the fringing of the various levels of Gaussian Blur that fooled my eye. By blowing it way up, I can see that it is not as I suspected. I have been fooling a lot with composites / blurring lately, and I am starting to get the hang of getting rid of the fringes (at long last).

In the picture in the lnk below, I have a composite of 3 shots happening complete with 3 stages of blurring (2 of them very subtle). I think the fringing is "almost" invisible.
