Curiosity: How many digital cameras do you own?

D1H and a small bunch of quality lenses. Old primes mostly.

Coolpix 700 - That old one made in 1999. Carry anywhere, Uses it mostly for B&W.

Samsung L74 Wide - Carry anywhere and partycamera.

Ricoh Caplio 400G - Uses it almost only for some very simple underwater photography. But I'll sooner or later replace it with the G600 or something else due bulk.

Benq DC1500. My former partycamera and now I mostly use it as webcam.

Soon: Konica Minolta Dimage EX 1500 zoom, should arrive soon. An old cam with very good IQ for having just 1.5mp.

I decided to try and find one because it produces very film-like pictures IQ-wise with nice graininess which should make for good B&W too. Loseless jpeg compression and a large buffer is a bonus:)

Too bad, that 28mm prime is like impossible to find due many buyers chose the zoom.

Two DSLRs (Sony A900), two 'prosumers' (KM A2, Minolta A1), two P&S (Lumix LX3, Olympus 770SW).

My film kit is being used by my niece and I don't ever see my reclaiming it!

I presently own 8:
Sony T-100, Sony 707, Sony 717, Sony H-2, Sony H-5.
Fuji F200EXR, Canon A720i, Konica/Minolta A-2, Nikon 775.

The one that is always with me? The Sony T-100. It honestly equals or out performs all the remaining above. (Just my opinion)

Interesting diversity of responses. I initially asked the question because in my pursuit of a new camera (a P&S) I wondered what I would wind up doing with my old one which still takes very nice pictures but is only 4MP. I also realized that no single camera does everything I want so I was envisioning buying another camera or 2 sometime down the road. I wondered whether I would actually use them all and whether it was really worth it to buy a second camera (in my case probably a DSLR or Bridge camera) that I thought I would likely only use a few times a year due to size/convenience.

Anyway, thanks for all the responses. It's always interesting to see what others are up to.

Nikon D5000 and a Canon SD800. I always have my canon in my bookbag because it is so small and I take a lot of photos of my students. Linda

A late reply, but after I first saw your question, I decided to do an actual count of everything that could be called "digital cameras" around here.

It gets kinda scary.

4 DSLRs
6 P&Ss, some working, some dead.
7 cell phones with cameras, (5 living, 2 dead)
3 built-in laptop cameras (never used)
2 built-in desktop cameras (ditto)
3 "toy cameras" (pens and such)
...and worst of all

9 optical mice (they have digital cameras under their little bellies, which is what reads the red light that's reflected off the surface the mouse rides on)

And that doesn't count all the little digital spy cams that I'm CERTAIN the FBI and IRS have planted all over the place. ;)

They are all Olympus, four of them:

Stylus 7020 - goes everywhere due to small size
SP-570UZ - used to go everywhere, now reserved where long zoom is really neded
Stylus 800 - it is retained because it is weather resistant
C-990/D490 - retained for Sandra. Good battery life - uses AAs.

--wow after reading some of these responses I feel downright deprived of digital cameras as I only have three
Canon 5d which I seldom use
Leica M8 which I use most of the time
Leica dlux3 which I use some of the time.

Having said all this I love all of them for different reasons. I sorta lust for the new Panasonic GF1 and the Leica M9 and X1 and the Nikon D3x sigh and as others have said I won't get into the film cameras I still have laying around.
