I just downloaded PhotoThumb on a recommendation seen on this forum. In the EXIF info, I see a reference to GPS. Also, I see more raw EXIF info in PhotoThumb than I have seen from any other piece of software.
Here's the reference to GPS in the EXIF on a photo from my v.1.01 D100:
*******
EXIF Data:
-------------------------
GPSInfo = 872
*******
What does this mean/refer to?
And to see it in context of the entire EXIF data, here's all the data, below my sig (the GPS thing is located all the way at the end). Thanks for any info.

Thanks for the reply. I have your D100 eBook (GREAT !!) and was
hoping the the 'gps' info was omitted from the book rather than the
camera.
Oh well, just 1 more reason to upgrade once Nikon starts to ship
its 'next' DSLR ...

Anyone know if the D100 can be connected to a GPS unit to record
lat/long data into the EXIF ? If so, which units are supported /
recommended and any source for the proper cable ?
The D100 doesn't support GPS input.
There was a bit of traffic on this forum about a year ago (prior to
D100) regarding connections to the D1x. It seems to have trailed
off quickly without a reliable source for the correct cabling.
The correct cabling was posted here several times. It's also in my
D1 book.
