Cute..........I think that school has a branch in East Tennessee also! LOL!
...where people drive so bad that it is impossible to permit the
right turn on a red light....Many of might have been wondering
why?...I think they went to that driving school:

Too funny! They made a movie about San Francisco!

Out here, pedestrians don't even have the right-of-way on the sidewalks ... and the faster you drive through a red light, the less are your chances of getting hit.

New York city is another place that does not allow turn on red. Of course some would argue that NYC is in its own little universe. The state I live in (Massachusetts) was the last state in the USA to adopt right on red.

Where I live, green means "go", yellow means "go fast" and red apparently doesn't mean "stop" to alot of people.

ho my...that's one way of seing this :)

People in San Francisco area drive very well though...most people keep good driving distance, and they may drive fast but they are very polite.

Now I am in Quebec for my vacations and geeezzz..it's scary to see them drive and nobody ever give you any chance...when you put your flasher, they push on the gaz to block you...when you cross the street by foot..they push on the gaz to tell you to run for your live...etc.. pretty much like in this video.

In San Francisco, if you want to enter the highway, people will go on the left lane to leave you some room but here in Quebec, they will push on the gaz to block you..and they have a bad habbit of staying in the right lane so it's a pain to get into the highway.

I was hoping that Quebec would allow the right turn on red lights but that will never be...We will remain the only place in north america where this is not allowed.

where do you live? I know in Europe it's very bad and in some countries it's very hazardous to drive :)
Daniella,
That is hilarious! I liked the cop giving the ticket and the two
thieves making off with the car while the driver was putting out
the triangle!! LOL

Since I live in the heart of tourist country with over 12 million
visitors a year passing by, I've seen almost all those scenes!
****:)

As far as I know, just the city, since as I said Massachusetts was the last state to adapt it, and I recall the press saying Mass. was pressured to adapt the rule or lose federal highway funds (what Mass. did was just erect a lot of signs that say no turn on red, though over the years, fewer of the signs remain).

Everybody in California thinks this is the only place in America where you can go right on red. When I tell them you can do that anywhere, nobody believes me. Then when I mention that California is just about the only place where you can make U-turns legally, they think the rest of the country is living in the stone-ages.

People tell each other "The air might be polluted ... but we have right-on-red." If they wanted to foster civic pride, I don't know why they couldn't pick something true about California to tell us...

We east Tennessee folks have to drive like that because of all the lame tourist that don't have an idea where the HE{{ they are going.
This is the touruist trap capitol of the free world.

I still remember my first drive through Quebec, I was cruising along the highway between Montreal and Quebec City at what I thought was a fast 100 mph (pre metric) when I was passed by a garbage truck, the kind with the big arms on front for lifting trash containers. It was then that I thought... I'm not in Ontario any more........
