A while back, I saw a review in a photo magazine for software that would print six to eight different adjustment versions (color shifts) of an original with the original in the center. You could then pick the one you liked and tell PS to print it like that. It was a Photo Shop plugin. I saved it, but can not find it. Does anybody remember it, or have it, or something like it? I have calibrated and everything, but am not yet perfect. Thought this might be a nice addition to the workflow.

Thanks - That is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about. I will try searching like that.

Well - I will respond to myself. I have not found the software, but played around in PhotoShop. You can start with the file you think works. Create say 3 additional copies. Make the small adjustments you feel appropriate. Leave all of those open. Create a contact sheet with those four images. Print. Pick the one that looks best. Print that one at full size. I did this and it only took a couple minutes. So If you are already close...

This would be a simple Photoshop action. Start with an image, size it, duplicate it on a new layer, make a small adjustment, move it, duplicate the first layer again, make an adjustment, move it. etc.

In Photoshop under image> adjustments> variations - this should do what you want. I don't know if you can print it but you can see it on your monitor.

With Qimage there is a problem that if you use Q itself to modify the image it overwrites the 'filter' each time you change.

I suppose the workaround is to write a new image with each change, but that seems pretty cumbersome.
