Another sad victim at Venice Beach. By the looks of his nails, this dog hasn't been for a walk in a long time. Really a pity given his house is right on the Boardwalk and 20 feet from the beach.

Bob

Not a bad idea Michael..... but people who neglect animals usually don't "get it" no matter what you tell them. I appreciate your looking and comment.

Best,

Bob
You should put this photo into an envelope and post it to the owner of that poor animal, with a not to say the whole world is watching him, It may shame them into taking better care of this animal

just enough processing and a great, if sad, expression........

Nice work, as always

Best wishes

Then make up "HELP ME" posters with photo and address, post them on every telephone pole and bulletin board for 5 square blocks around the home.

I have a soft spot for yellow labs (mine was with me for almost 13 years.)

People who claim to be open minded never see it my way.

Interesting shot and I agree he does look a little sad, but that may be the look of that particular dog.

As to the length of his nails if the owner does not trim them and given the location of the dog if the owner walks the dog mainly on the beach the soft sand will not wear his nails at all compared to a dog that walks on the sidewalk in the city.
Sometimes things are not quite how they first appear.

Great shot. And yes the poor dog needs it's nails trimmed and it's very easy. I've done all my dogs over the last 50 years. Takes about 10 minutes.

My thanks to all of you for looking and your comments/input, really much appreciated.

Geoff ...... you might be right about the dog walking on the sand.... but, the dog is over weight and also had a sore on it's nose. (which I cloned out) I would like to give the owner the bemifit of doubt, but my gut feeling is this dog is not being treated properly. I hope I'm wrong ......

Thanks again to all......

Best,

Bob

I do applaud you for being concerned about a dog that you saw and yes you are quite correct in that seeing a animal up close and personal gives you a better idea of it's condition.

Too many animals do not get the love and care that they deserve and I wish the laws would make people more accountable for their actions.
