You have managed to find 3 and 3 all in one photo. Clever!

3 Mirage Fighters outside Hanger no 3 - I like the repetition of the sleek shapes of the fighter jets and the very sharp noses (sorry, I don't speak Airplane-ese). The use of colour is effective - the orange/black jets flanking the white/blue jet. The orange/black tail helps to define the shape of the middle jet. And one big bonus - the Number 3 sign on the hanger. What are the chances of capturing that?

Thanks for your submission.

...your very first entry - mother duck and 2 ducklings in a green pond. Is this photo going to be an exhibition photo as well?

I really enjoyed each of your photos.

Three Ducks - to me, this is an unusual photo as I am not accustomed to seeing ducks cutting through a green pond. I have seen plenty of ducks surrounded by blue water, but not by green vegetation. The intense green colour helps to emphasize the shapes of the mainly brown ducks.

Caterpillars - I like all of the diagonal lines in the photo. The top caterpillar interrupts the diagonal lines and provides extra visual interest. The backdrop of greens help to make the caterpillars predominate in the scene.

Duck plus 3 Ducklings - with the parent duck in the bottom left corner of the photo, my eyes are first drawn there. The fluffy and cute little ducklings standing on a log next attract my attention. The photo is now complete. Another feature is that you have managed to capture the catchlight in the eyes of all but one duck.

Bleeding Hearts - I really like the colours in this photo - marvellous pink flowers, deep red branch and stems and the lively green background. We can almost see through the top portion of the flowers. The diagonal line of the flower branch is very pleasing to the eyes.

Three Mushies - what an arresting orange colour of mushrooms! The green vegetation surrounding the mushrooms provides quite a contrast to the bright orange colour. I like the positioning of the mushrooms - the biggest mushroom seems to overshadow the smaller mushrooms, as if it is protecting its' little ones.

Purple Flowers - Half of the photo is filled with a lovely flower. What lovely lighting on this flower. Each flower is in different stages of bloom - adding variety and extra interest to the photo. I find that the fly anchors my attention to the bottom flower.

Thanks so much for participating in the challenge.

Man vs Wild

Ice Shrooms

Melting snow and ice transforming into mushroom shapes along the Gold river.

And one that may not fit as it's the same subject recorded with a 3 shot burst and overlayed with PSP 9.

Mr. Mojay Rising

all photos were taken with the R1.

I'm glad that you were able to submit photos to the mini challenge. All three photos are marvellous.

Man vs Wild - I just love the dark crows and the brilliant fall colours against an ugly grey wall. A real contrast between beauty and ugliness! I like how the crows are in the top left corner - the beauty of nature all concentrated in one spot and the dreariness of man fills the rest of the photo. The soft undulating lines of the branches are doing their best to overcome the stark horizontal lines of the concrete blocks.

Ice Shrooms - what a great capture! The ice-topped sticks are definitely an great subject. I like the contrast between the circular clumpy ice sections and the straight sticks. This photo really works in black/white.

Mr. Mojay Rising - three is three, no matter how you got it. I really like the Photoshop treatment, both the sepia part and the black/white part. The action of flying is so well depicted here - and the translucent feathers just make the photo.

Thanks for participating in the mini challenge.
