How about LEVBFS in F717?

I haven't heard anything yet. That is the one I don't care for going from my S70 to the F707.
I have high hopes that they have corrected that flaw but I also have a feeling it is still there. Unfortunately, I don't think any of the reviews reveal LEVBFS because their flash shots are all done in full auto.

If it forcedly uses auto WB with flash, then LEVBFS may still exist.

hmm... thats one of my worries too.
i'm also worried about external flash integration with the camera - whether its actually half decent. i had a not-so-easy time doing a wedding reception the other day since i had to use a hack (calibrated dark inkjet transparency) to force the flash output to higher when i needed it. and i would have to readjust the transparency or readjust the shutter speeds if my subjects were within a closer range than usual.
i was a little bit envious that the professional photographers there had cameras (film perhaps, maybe a d60?) that they could just out of nowhere place in front of someone's face, take a quick snapshot, without doing any shutter/flash manipulation at all. obviously the flash was smart enough to not flash as bright with close distances / wider apertures... wy can't the f707 w f1000 do that? or do i just need a digislave/metz unit, will that give me what i need???
why is the f707/f1000 flash so stupid!

As the 717 seems to be only a firmware upgrade of the 707 I would expect the faults to be fixed this time....
