Best credit card size color printer

Credit card size printer? Or printer for credit card size prints? You might want to go with a 4x6 dye sub printer if it's to be dedicated to printing that small.

Which brand and model is recommended?

GH
HiTi model 630PL which is selling for $160 at focuscamera makes very good 4x6 dye sub prints and is fast. The prints will cost about 40 cents each. I also have an Olympus P-400 but for 4x6 size prints the HiTi is faster and cheaper.

Why pay more when you can just get the 630PS with the same features for half of the cost of Sony's dyesub. Keep in mind Sony charges pretty much aroudn 80 cents per print compared to 40 cents on HiTi. Brand names dosen't always appear better especially with Sony's markup.

This new printer is $200.00, and since it is Sony, the chances are real good that paper and supplies will be available in a couple of years. Will that be true for the HITI?

Ah, I was confused cuz this thread started with the SV77 and you hadn't mentioned this newer model that was announced like 2 days ago.... or did I miss your mention of that? Anyhoo, looks like Sony's trying to answer the competition of this new upstart company, haha... although the consumables are still more expensive and so are the printers (vs their HITI counterparts). What is kinda interesting is hooking the printer up to the television set... that's a neat little novelty function there... and I like that touchscreen on the more expensive model.... though you really have to pay for it : P I still say HITI is nicer for utility and practicallity while the Sony models have a few extras that you can play with for a while.... we'll see how they fare on the market.

I bought a Polaroid P500 digital printer on eBay for $29 USD. prints develop before your eyes, it uses real polaroid film... costs $11 AUD ($6 USD) per pack of 10 shots.

DAMN nice little machine. been discontinued, hence the insanely low price... original retail was $250 USD!!!

film is plentiful and available everywhere, as many other polaroid cameras use it (namely the "joycam")
I think there is some problem on dpreview. My previous thread seems
corrupted.

Anyway, any recommendation for a nice printer? Thank you
