The clarity of the second shot is simply stunning.

You should get out of the office more.

Just checked your Web site and it appears that you do to produce equally amazing photographs.

I enjoy the abstractness of your pictures. They draw the viewer in and offer many interpretations. Thanks for sharing.

The problem is, I do get out, but typically to put soil rather than concrete under foot. I'm trying to change that penchant. Thanks for the encouragement towards that end.

That interpretation is more flattering than you might suspect - thanks muchly.

I'm also excited to have discovered, through a DPR challenge, the notion of pictorials. I have no background in photographic art/history (just picked up a camera one day, and started seeing what can be done). It's a style I unwittingly started with in trying to develop first digitals with P&S's (in part to cope with artifacting and IQ deficiencies of JPGs when pushed), and I've worked hard to let the photographic tendencies of a capture have more weight in the course of developing. So now, I have a name to the effect that the Office Space exhibits, and I can embrace that style better when it comes into play. And I'm having a ball!
