I haven't found a way to e-mail more than one photo at a time. When printing the pictures I have the prints on screen to check which ones I want to print. There must be this same setup for e-mailing????

The easiest way to send multiple picture with e-mail is as attachments. To do this, view the folder in which you keep your pictures - they will have a .jpg extension. With a New Message opened in Outlook Express, click the attachments symbol ( a paperclip). Locate your photo folder and attach as many as you like by highlighting those you want to send. Once you've sent them, both you and the recipient can view the photos from within the body of the e-mail. As you attach the images they will appear only as text file names in the attachment field. Afterwards, if you open the sent message, you'll see the images you sent. Remember though, that if the files are particlualry large, they will take an eternity both to send and receive! If this is a problem, you might want to resample the images to render them smaller for e-mailing. This will be fine if you only intend the image to be viewed on screen. Hope this helps!

It depepdns upon your mail program as to how you would set up the images for emailing. Each program does it differently. You also need to check with your ISP and the ISP of the person receiving the images as they alos will have restrictions on the size and number of files you can attach to an email message.

Peggy,

Filesize will become prohibitive if you attach several unsampled photos to a single email. Depending on your camera and resolution, picture files can get quite large, many ISP's have a limit on mailbox size, if you attach 12 MB of photos to an email and the recipient only has a 6 MB mailbox, the entire message will most likely get tossed out. You can resample the pictures down to a more manageable size for viewing on a computer screen. There was quite a bit of talk about a program called MyPhotoZip which had claims of astonishing compression ratios without severe loss of quality. I did d/l the program but must admit I have yet to install it. I should try it out to see how well it works. Does anyone else here have any feedback on MyPhotoZip ?

I'm not so concerned about the size of the attachment. I'm just wondering how to send more than one picture at a time. When I click on a picture to e-mail the e-mail pops up with the picture attached before I have a chance to click on more pictures. When I go to print pictures, I have the whole set of pictures to click on the ones I want. Shouldn't it be the same for e-mailing?

Peggy:

It is easy to send multiple pics in an email using the Finepix Viewer software from Fuji. Just go the the folder with the images. Select the first pic then hold down Ctrl and select subsequent pictures. The program will create reduced-sized images and attach them to an email in your email software. It reduces them in file size but they are still a nice size for viewing.
