I see the NTF Challenge is off to a rip roaring start with a ton of excellent pictures. In this thread maybe you'd like to show the "Not Even In The Running", the flip side of the challenge, the funny ones, the ones that were almost great if this or that had not happened. Maybe I can get it off the ground with this excellent shot of a frog caught in mid air...

Please list any excuse, huh... reasons you like. This may not get very far because of all the excellent photographers here and the fact they never goof a shot. :)

Please note this prestigious event is from The Dim Bulb Camera Club of which you're a member in good standing but just didn't know it and has a long history dating back to 7 a.m. this mornig.

Looks like you're out trying hard for that winning shot Jarrell. That
is of course if you don't already have the picture and are waiting
nearer to the end to submit a dazzling picture. Well..

Hey Jerrell, & all you (UN = N.T. effer's)
I do A LOT of butterfly imaging.
Some people have some fish stories, about the ones that got away.

This is the story of the one that didn’t get away.

(Boy, and I had the perfect butterfly shot)

Great shot, good colors, Darwin's survival of the fittest...

To what religious order does that bird belong? ;-)
It is a good shot.
Too bad it is in the zoo, and not in the wild.
Altough it's real alright, it just seems staged

http://www.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1007&message=3262161

The Challenge lasts for around another 22 1/4 hours.
It ends at 7pm Central America Time, Monday night.

Hope this helps.

Michael Offe.
Where can I find the rules?

Alton
The rules to this message of Jarrell's, or the rules to NTF
Challenge 1?

Michael Offe,
South Australia.

I see this idea was a complete disaster from get-go. Oh well, win some, lose some. This thread had nothing to do with the Official NTF Challenge but I can see some people may confuse the two, so lets drop this one quick!! :)

I hope macro porn is ok, cos I'm pretty sure my subjects were bumping uglies...
Jarrell
It seems that no one has any foiled images.
I guess we are the only one.
This was my first choice, But:
I think macro porn wouldn't be exeptable in the challange.
My models are young and I couldn't keep them apart.

Hi Thomas and Bort,
I can't see any problems with pics like this for the Challenge...

I think that is consered normal for bugs and inects etc.
:-)

Thomas, Great photo!
