You're right, they look indeed very similar.

Coincidentally there is Leica's Live Webcast today, where they will unveil new Leica stuff... ;)

I didn't notice it until you pointed it out.

It looks like a cross between a Leica logo and a soda logo. It is also hard to read.

Seems if "just a joke" as they say...

Well, how about that, the old DPR logo is back...

So, how much did Leica pay DPR for a few hours Leica ...erm... "new" DPR logo? ;)

A good thing for DPR that we all have a well focused and correctly exposed sense of humor... :D

On other news, I feel so much more assured now that the old logo is back.

Maybe DPR is doing what Google does, and changing their logo to match events, announcements, etc.?

About 95% of the people on this site missed the DPreview staff's attempt at humor.

It was a joke, and yes it corresponded with their news of the Leica releases, and their trip to the factory. Im sure they, and the Leica boys got a kick out of it, apparently at our expense ;-).
