Guys,

I would like to know:

1. Is this a cpu lens?
2. Will it be able to use 3d or Color matrix metering on the D700?
3. Which is more superior, the 3d or color metering?

4. If the lens is non-cpu, how do I enter the information into the D700? I dont know how to enter the lens focal length as zoom lens.

Thanks.

1. Yes
2. Yes

3. You're referring to the same thing 3D Color Matrix metering is one thing. This lens will fully meter on the D700, no matter which metering mode you choose (spot, center weighted, matrix).

4. If it was a non-CPU zoom lens, I think you'd have to go through and enter each focal length in, using the Non-CPU lens option in the menu. Takes up a lot of slots though, so just be thankful that its a CPU lens and most good zoom lenses that can be used on this cam are newer CPU lenses anyways, so that shouldn't be a worry.

I have a question about this lens, is it f2.8 all the way through the zoom range or is it only f2.8 at the short end? If so, whats the aperture at the long end?
