Am I losing it?

Thank you both for comments.
I really love the emotional quality of them, gives a wonderful relief from the trying to copy reality transporting me to the otherworld of dreams and longing
You got it...IR is invisible wavelength, so why not makes it completely surreal :)
Thanks you so much!

Hi, Good to see you around, just noticed you started this thread. If that's losing it hope it gets around, great images. One of these days I gotta try that.

Nice.

1st: Is this a combo of IR + negative fill-light + tinting? Just wondering, because I wouldn't change a thing! Interesting effect if you crop the top sixth off - creates more foreground immersion, but I don't think it improves upon your framing.

2nd: even though the leftmost tree is so interesting, I wonder if the photo might have more 'direction' cropping out the left third and adding more to the right, or something along that approach? The tinting truly adds & works here!

3rd: Pleasant, almost like a Klimt forest.

4th: As observed above, lovely, classic framing. Perhaps I have lost it too, because I would love to see more texture detail in the highlit foliage, which would make this much darker still!

While I would hate to have you lose an ear, I have to guiltily admit I wouldn't mind seeing more of these! First two are highly evocative.

Thank you both for comments...Next time I will invite everyone to try something that is out of our comfort zone...just to be different :)

You are quiet correct, combination of all of the above. Thank you for suggestion of composition, it is something I am concously working on to improve and hope some day I get the hang of it.
2nd: even though the leftmost tree is so interesting, I wonder if the photo might have more 'direction' cropping out the left third and adding more to the right, or something along that approach? The tinting truly adds & works here!
Something to think about, for my next outing...most appreciate your suggestion.

Thx :)

I don't think there is any danger of losing the ear yet...but might losing my way around the post processing again.
Cheers,

no question, nice captures, BUT.. for me they all look the same. i am missing the individuality there. something new. IR is not IR. where are the differences? maybe you should concentrate on something beside the "IR effect". something like a unique expression...

like your images, please don't take my post the wrong way.

cheers,

Thank you so much for your input and something for me to think about next time when I start to go wild on my PP...I guess if they all look the same, then I am consistent (good/bad) :)...

Not at all and most appreciated.
