Some-how I feel compelled to scream to the world that I'm leavin' Oly-land - and I don't know why...but I just do. I've had it with the gorgeous colors, the wonderful gear, and the ingenuity as exemplified by the Olympus Brand. :(

I've found some really nice General Electric (GE) brand stuff. Right now I'm planning on purchasing a dozen GE digicams for a total of only $29.95 USD and there's no way that Olympus can compete with that. So don't try and talk me out of it.

Ahhh, no more worries about PP, RAW, colors...or the like - you Oly fanboy types. I've decided to embrace the world of less than ideal standards 'cause that's where one can find true sanity.

So have a great day and yes, I'm going to let the door hit my ass on the way out! ;)

I can't believe you had to vent like this. All I can say is that my Oly has performed superbly and yes, sometimes you get great results - it happens. Either return yours for a lesser copy, or send it to me.

I hope you saw that I merely copied from another thread your subject line and response to a certain grumpy person. then I modified it ever so slightly to fit your post. My response was even more in jest that yours!!!

Please don't forget to sell me that E3 you've got. At least it's IS is working.

Just out of curiosity, those GE cameras can also act as toasters? Seems like a fine investment.

See you...

I just felt I had to vent 'cause I had lots of gas today - very bloaty, y'know. Venting in a variety of ways helps ;)

Good! Push my stock price up my 401K is more like a 201K. Work at the plant is dismal we are down to about 250 locos this year a big drop from 900 last year.

Too bad we did not diversify at the plant and made cameras beside drilling motors, Off Highway and wind gear boxes. Funny think our lab uses an Olympus Camedia (model escapes me) and our other development lab uses a Canon power Shot. Go figure :O

Ben, is it true that the GE has that new FF-XL sensor that's noiseless at ISO 12800? I want one too! After toting that around for a few months with the matching 26-pound, 3.5 foot long 300mm lens, those N & C guys won't be kicking sand in my face any more! I'll just give my wimpy Oly gear to my wife, and if it happens that she comes home with better pics than moi, I'll just sell my gear and get the newest GE! You know, the one with the FF-XXL sensor! :)
