What are your best LIKES about your Sony camera?

For my A-100:

1. In body image stabilization - all my lenses are stabilized!
2. 46,000 clicks to date without a glitch!
3. Great IQ!
4. Over 300 A-mount image stabilized lenses to pick from!
5. MLU (for Barry) ;-)
6. Dedicated AEL button

When I owned the A200, price and very good features. Best BANG for the BUCK!

Now with my A700

SSS - for when the lighting is getting low and I am trying to shoot birds with my Sigma 170-500 hand held.

Quick Navi Menu which allows me not to have to search for a setting, quick and easy! God I love that.

Dynamic Range Optimization - For those days and places where I don't have a flash for fill flash but can use a little help.

Placement of buttons / controls and the wonderful solid well built feel. Size for
a man with sausage like fingers.

And last, I love the reactions with my aftermarket vertical grip that I get. I have had several people say, "Wow now there is a real camera, what kind is that?"
All I can do is smile when I tell them a Sony A700 and they say "A what?"
Which I reply... The best camera you never heard of.... hehe = )

I only wish my wife would understand, that I sleep much better when I have it in my hands. ; )

Competitive cost

A350

I bought it for:
  • The excellent value of being able to use the Minolta lenses and have them all stabilized.
  • The best Live View in the business with the tilt screen and fast focus.
As a bonus I got:
  • Excellent image quality and uncompromizing color.
  • Built in wireless flash.
  • Great deal.

I was looking for an entry level DSLR and chose the A200 for all the features it offered compared to the competition.
  • In camera lens stabilization.
  • Sensor shake for dust.
  • In camera focus drive motor.
  • In camera dynamic range optimization.
  • The ability to use Minolta AF lens back to the mid 80's.
  • Ergonomics.
I don't regret my choice.

I think they really have to fill the hole between the 5xx and 8xx/9xx to satisfy a large group of serious amateurs and some pros.

Also, I am waiting for Sony's intro into the professional marked. I don' think this will happen very soon -- first they need some bright telephoto lenses.
