Taken on a cloudy day. 3 bracketed shots combined in Photomatix. Then, adjusted Levels in Photoshop CS4. I was going for the "somewhere between natural and HDR" look. And I don't mind the noise at all. :P C&Cs are very welcome. Thanks!



 
I like it, but I like the look of HDR. You pic does not look overly done but still has the look. :)

I agree about the "look of HDR" in this case. The Brooklyn Bridge is a subject that seems to invite a certain amount grunge look.

And the version that shows both ends of the bridge is the much more satisfying of the two.

Great use of HDR, I love photomatix. Would love to see a 16X9 version of the second photo. Nice to see something other than bickering over unreleased cameras.
 
It's overprocessed, i don't like the uneven sky tone, and it could be improved 1000% if you waited until you had bright sun instead of a cloudy sky. I prefer either a clear sky or puffy cumulus clouds when using HDR. The hazy sky just looks bad when HDR'ed. My opinion.

There was actually a storm coming from the right, that's why the sky is not even. I've been taking a lot of HDR shot in sunny days, and I wanted to try something different, so I won't get bored or sick of it. Next time I wanna do try nightscene HDR. =)
 
yours does not seem as over processed as others I have seen. Most have a very "flat" exposure look to me which is not so pleasing to my eye. Kinda like using a giant flash it can make the scene look un-natural.
